Variant for regular walkers
You can continue the escapade by walking to the Pont-de-Nant (alt. 1253m). This is a 5km walk. This section crosses the upper gorges of the Avançon. Once you reach the Pont-de-Nant, you can eat at the Auberge de Pont-de-Nant.

There are two ways of getting to Sonloup from Les Avants station: on foot or by funicular. For the first option, take the footpath that starts to the left of the funicular departure point and which takes around half an hour to reach the funicular's arrival point. Go to the left (SW) of the building to start the ridge path. It is well signposted and marked. You quickly enter the forest and then reach the Belvédère du Cubly, from where you have an uninterrupted view of the Lake Geneva basin, from the Chablais to the Jura. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of wildlife.
