Lavaux vineyard terraces

In Lavaux, the cultivation of vines and wine has been firmly rooted in the soil for a thousand years. From Corsier-sur-Vevey to Lutry, 10,000 terraces stretch out facing Lake Geneva and form a unique group of plots where men and women work the land tirelessly, with humility and passion. A living landscape as much as a sacred territory.

Villa «Le Lac» Le Corbusier

The Villa “Le Lac” is a little gem of ingenuity and functionalism – an architectural manifesto where one can find the key ideas of the program developed by Le Corbusier during the 1920s for his famous purist villas. This laboratory of modern ideas is one of the architect's most personal and inventive works.

Montreux Jazz Festival Archives

Digitized and archived by the EPFL, kept in one of the historical houses of Claude Nobs, founder of the festival, the Montreux Jazz archives contain more than 5'000 hours of concerts. An authentic audiovisual treasure trove that retraces a little over half a century of music. And the history continues to be written to the rhythm of the artists invited each year to perpetuate the legend of the Montreux Jazz Festival.

Fête des Vignerons, Vevey

A Vevey institution, the Fête des Vignerons has been held about five times a century since 1797. It celebrates the work and know-how of the region's winegrowers through a grand spectacle combining dances, music, theatre, parades in costume and entertainment throughout the town of Vevey. Its extreme rarity makes it a particularly lively, moving and precious popular event for the inhabitants of the region. See you around 2039 for the next one!

Montreux

The Montreux Jazz Festival, Queen and Freddie Mercury, Septembre Musical, Mountain Studios, Igor Stravinsky, ... The links between music and Montreux are both deep-rooted and enduring, which is why the town is joining UNESCO's Creative Cities network in 2023. This recognition should serve to preserve and develop this unique heritage.
