Launched in autumn 2000, the "Family Weekend at the Museums" is a special moment of complicity and discovery for families.
On the first weekend in November, the museums offer, upon registration, activities for families allowing them to live together amazing experiences.
Each museum organizes a workshop for the creation of works or objects related to its theme, adapted to be carried out collectively by the whole family.
This event is a great opportunity to discover ancient and contemporary techniques, to meet artists and craftsmen and above all to enrich the family with a wonderful experience shared by all. Common point of all its activities, families take their creations with them.
New: this year, registrations can only be made online by following the link below. You can choose from a variety of activities to suit your children's ages and interests, for the price of CHF 10 per workshop and per family (min. 1 adult and 1 child, max. 5 people). Registration opens on Wednesday, October 23 at 8 a.m. and closes on Friday, November 1 at 12 p.m.
Information & registration
If you live in the communes of Blonay – St-Légier, Chardonne, Corseaux, Corsier, Jongny, Montreux, La Tour-de-Peilz, Vevey, Veytaux, or Villeneuve, you can visit participating museums for free, except La Villa "Le Lac" Le Corbusier.
If you are coming from further away, you can take advantage of free admission to the museums of the city of Vevey: Musée Jenisch Vevey, Swiss Camera Museum, Vevey Historical Museum, and the Museum of the Winegrowers' Brotherhood (free entry on the first weekend of the month).
