An amazing route through the forest on the heights of Montreux. It's hard to imagine that such an unusual and relaxing place is located only a few hundred metres from the centre of Montreux. Once you arrive in Glion, take the time to admire the extraordinary panorama that awaits you!

From the Montreux train station, go up to the old quarter of Les Planches. At the end of Rue du Pont, turn left onto Rue du Temple. Opposite the Temple St-Vincent, next to the public toilets, take the small stairs up. This is the start of the famous ascent of the historic Sentier du Télégraphe!
At the end of your ascent, take a direct right to join the road. A few metres further on, still on your right, a small downhill path comes into view. It will lead you directly to the Route de Glion. From there, you can easily reach Montreux by following the road and enjoying the splendid views of the lake and the mountains.

Anecdote: the peaceful village of Glion is home to one of the most prestigious hotel schools in the world: the Glion Institute of Higher Education. Inside the building is also La Maison Décotterd with a gastronomic restaurant (18 Gault&Millau points / 2 Michelin stars), a bistro with a brasserie feel and a lounge bar.
